About Us Our first Border Terrier, Am. Ch. Steephollow Wood Nymph (Bessie), came from Barbara Kemp in 1987. Bessie was remarkably successful at the National Specialty and became the dam of five Champions. Put back to her grandsire, Am. Ch. Traveler at Foxley, she produced Am. Ch. Hideaway's Cocklebur, the 1991 BTCA Sweepstakes Winner, who, to Am. Ch. Hollybridge Raffles, gave Am. Ch. Hideaways Toad Flax, Reserve WD at the 1993 Specialty, aged six and a half months. Putting Toad Flax back to his grandmother, Wood Nymph, produced Hideaway's Poison Oak, winner of the 1995 Specialty, from 96 entries. Am. Ch. Hideaway's Ocimum Basilicum TDX, out of Bessie, earned all of his titles before the age of two and earned his TD and TDX titles on his first attempts - a noble feat. To date there have been nine Champions from Wood Nymph and Cocklebur. Our Border Terriers are family first. Their general well being, health, and happiness comes before any shows or field trials. |
